The goal of this class is to find your own unique voice and to bring out the storyteller that dwells in each of us. We will use different creative exercises to launch the writing process in a supportive, non-threatening environment. Fill page after page and let the pen do the talking, as we explore free-writing as a way to access the place of inspiration. We will make use of helpful writing prompts such as photos, music, and short meditations to help get us started. You will learn how to expand from your writing samples and write short stories. This class is open to newcomers, as well as students who have taken this or other writing classes. Just bring your creative energy, pens, pencils, and paper (or laptops). Limited to 12.
